Beijing's Dongcheng district in the city's central area has completed the decoration of 10 themed flower terraces and surrounding floral sightseeing in its major streets to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

According to the Dongcheng district, up to 2.4 million plants and 185 flower balls are set in an area of 35,000 square meters by now.

In the main streets, there are 10 flower terraces themed on the nation's development and people's happy lives. They are set along the two sides of the roads or within the isolation belts.

In particular, the district has called for residents to participate in the floral decoration. Many people come up with innovative ideas to decorate the streets where they have lived for decades.

Those streets with a history of around 700 years now appear very beautiful with the addition of various flowers, creating a celebratory atmosphere.
